Formwork Designer

Location: Dublin, Ireland


We’re looking for an experienced Formwork Designer or candidate with relevant work experience to join our Technical team.

Whether it’s a large engineering project or a smaller construction project, this role is responsible for ensuring that we accurately meet our customers’ requirements by providing our Sales Engineers with first class technical support.


Key Duties

  • Develop an understanding of PERI’s products and Technical design strategy
  • Produce accurate and economical drawings, schedules and quotations whilst maintaining an efficient and effective use of time.
  • Checking schemes produced by Assistant Formwork Designers when directed by the TTL, to ensure safety, accuracy and economy
  • Provide technical advice on all PERI products to customers and PERI Sales Engineers
  • Ensure work produced is accurate
  • Actively promote the supply of a first class technical service and lead by example
  • Maintain clear and concise records in accordance with company procedures
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all staff, customers and visitors
  • Work closely with your team leader to ensure consistent, efficient working practices
  • Build a good rapport with Sales Engineers and customers
  • Representing the Technical Team to collaborate with and support other regions and functions
  • Supervision of AFD when directed by TTL
  • Assist the TTL with the further development of Technical staff

What you'll need

Experience

  • HNC Minimum in a Construction related subject:                                                                  i.e. Civil Engineering. A B-TECH qualification is desirable.
  • A depth of experience in a similar role, working with all aspects of Formwork, Falsework and scaffolding designs
  • Good knowledge of CAD Design Programs
  • Knowledge of Design Analysis Programmes - Desirable
